As a support establishment for the Haute Bretagne Hospital Group and ranked among the top 9 public health establishments in terms of quality of care nationally, the Rennes Hospital has a hospitalization capacity of 1,657 beds and 248 places.
A call for tenders was launched to modernise the video surveillance of the Rennes Hospital, and the video protection software solution chosen was CamTrace Nova 15 from Camtrace.
The CHU of Rennes opted for a virtualized installation: 300 cameras are managed by CamTrace, with a distribution on several virtual machines. The CamTrace solution allowed to recover a heterogeneous park of cameras (IP cameras, analogical and encoders) in order to propose a unified exploitation on video walls and operator stations.
The personnel (operators and security agents) were trained by a Camtrace collaborator within the framework of a face-to-face training, in order to guarantee an effective and optimal exploitation of the video surveillance.
