Compatible servers
Description
CamTrace can also be installed on the servers of your choice. We can provide you with a USB key that will install in a few minutes the operating system (Linux), the web server, the database, as well as the CamTrace software.
An ISO image is also available on our FTP site for installation in a Virtual Box or Vmware virtual machine.

The latest version of CamTrace is based on version 16.04 LTS (long term support) which guarantees stability and support of the operating system for a period of about 5 years.
To check the compatibility of a hardware with CamTrace you can use the “Live CD” function when booting from the CamTrace USB stick. This function allows you to use CamTrace on a server without installing it on the disk. This allows you to test all parts of the machine except the disk controller.

When you install your CT Server from scratch :
8.14.1.1 / 8.14.1.2 / 8.14.1.3 / 8.15.0 / 8.15.1 versions :
The installation (first boost) is based on a Xubuntu “16.04.1 LTS” with a “4.4” kernel (chose a hardware compatible with it). At the end of the installation, the CT is automatically updated ; and is based on a Xubuntu “16.04.6 LTS” with “4.15” kernel.
8.15.2 version :
The installation (first boost) is based on a Xubuntu “16.04.1 LTS” with a “4.15” kernel (chose a hardware compatible with it). At the end of the installation, the CT is automatically updated ; and is based on a Xubuntu “16.04.7 LTS” with “4.15” kernel.
9.16.0 version :
The installation (first boost) is based on a Xubuntu “22.04.1 LTS” with a “5.15.0-43” kernel (chose a hardware compatible with it). At the end of the installation, the CT is automatically updated ; and is based on a Xubuntu “22.04.1 LTS” with “5.15.0-46” kernel.
