Bug Microsoft affectant le décodage vidéo.

We would like to draw your attention to a Microsoft bug identified following the August 2025 Windows security update (KB5063878), which affects video decoding and NDI streaming performance.

This issue can cause severe stuttering, lag, and choppy audio/video quality when using NDI (Network Device Interface) for streaming or transferring streams between PCs. Streaming applications such as OBS (Open Broadcast Software) and NDI tools are particularly affected, especially when the “Display Capture” feature is enabled on the source PC. It is important to note that this issue persists even under low bandwidth conditions.

Microsoft has confirmed this bug (Operating System Build 26100.4946).

A workaround recommended by NDI is to manually change the NDI reception mode to use TCP or UDP instead of RUDP. For detailed instructions, please visit the NDI support site: Traffic Drops After Windows Update.
The affected platforms are:
* Windows 11, version 24H2
* Windows 10, version 22H2
* Windows 10, version 21H2
