CT-Parking is an application that can be used to solve a number of problems relating to the management of vehicles in a car park.
I – The different uses of CT-Parking
Alerts can be raised:
– When an unauthorised vehicle enters the site. Vehicles authorised to enter are entered on a whitelist. Any other vehicle triggers an alert.
– When a vehicle closely follows another vehicle before the barrier closes in order to enter or exit.
– When a vehicle is improperly parked in a parking space (suction car).

II – Prerequisites
The site has a car park with a separate entrance and exit. The entrance and exit are equipped with an LPR camera validated by Camtrace (number plate reading IP camera).
III – How it works
An LPR camera scans the front and rear of vehicles to detect “stowaways”. The Camtrace VMS stores the metadata from specialised plate-reading cameras. It can be used to retrieve images corresponding to metadata (plate number) on one or more cameras.
IV – Usage
CT-Parking can generate video alerts for operators, as well as daily/monthly reports on the number of alerts and the type of alerts that have taken place.
CT-Parking can be connected to a CamTrace server or can operate as a stand-alone unit alongside an existing video surveillance installation.
V – Technical implementation
An external application (running on a Windows server) implements the functions specific to each case (black list, white list, counting, time-out alert, special scenario). There is a skeleton of this application that can be easily customised according to the needs expressed. The application communicates with the CamTrace APIs.
